GMK Group

GMK Group consists of the companies GMKAB, Rönnquist & Wettainen and GMK Mechanical in Svappavaara.

Rönnquist & Wettainen has for 50 years been supplying products and services to the industries in the Malmfälten mining district in northern Sweden. The processing industry never sleeps and we are always ready to be of assistance.

Our base is in Kiruna but we also have a welding and machine workshop in Svappavaara, GMK Mechanical, and a branch in Boliden that is specialised in surface treatments. The GMK Group is also a partner in the wagon design and manufacturing company Kiruna Wagon.

Besides providing products and services to the heavy process industry, we also develop our own products that are sold worldwide.

A heritage of service since 1964
Our business started in 1964 when Rönnquist & Wettainen opened a workshop in a former pigsty in Kiruna. During half a century we have grown into a group of companies with a number of workshops and premises, modern machine parks and a versatile and experienced workforce.

Thanks to our broad skills and experience, we can offer our customers turnkey solutions for the management of the entire production chain:  from Planning -> Construction -> Production -> Installation / Assembly -> Services -> Maintenance -> Dismantling.
